ANIMALS


ANIMALS

In this unit we will learn about different animals. There are a lot of animals in the world. We are going to study animals sounds and their names.







  • Music activity. We are going to sing and dance with a song.

    • Crafts activities. In this part we are going to decorate the class with animals.

    Materials

    - Plastic dishes 
    - Different tempera colors
    - Cardboards
    - Sticks.

    How to make it

    First we will have to cut the dishes in halfs. (Depending on the animal that we want to do)

    Then, they will be painted with the color of the animal. For example, if the animal is a pig we should paint it pink.

    After painting, we are going to add details to the animal (eyes, nose, mouth...) We are going to use cardboard for this.

    Finally, we will put a stick in the mask so that the child can hold it.

    Materials

    - Balloons
    - Tempera colors
    - Ropes
    - Cardboard
    - Color pens.

    How to make it

    To start, we will fill the balloon with air, and we will choose the color of the balloon depending on the animal.

    Then, with the cardboard we will add the details of the animal (eyes, mouth...). 

    Other parts of the animals can be painted with coloring pens.



    • Story time.  In this story, the children learn that every animal different but special, and the importance of help.

    CHRISTMAS


    CHRISTMAS


    Christmas is one of the major Christmas holidays. The day before Christmas is Christmas eve.

    In this part we are going to do different activities and consist on singing, dancing and painting.


    • Music activity. We are going to sing and dance with a song.

    • Crafts activities. In this part we are going to decorate a gift bag with christmas theme.
    First activity

    Materials:
    - Chenille
    - Foami 
    - Cardboard or scrapbooking paper

    How to make it:
    We are going to glue the eyes on the bag and then cut the cardboard in a circular shape and glue it under the eyes. To finish we will paste foami like nose and chenille as the horns.

    Second activity

    Materials
    - 2 dishes of cartoon
    -Glue
    - White paint
    -Paper of pinocho
    -Cottons balls
    Scissors
    -Strips pipe cleaners
    -Blue and black cardboard

    How to make it:
    Paint two white paper plates and paste them as pictured.
    It beats colored cotton ball snowman buttons mode.
    Cut a strip of blue cardboard and small cuts on one end. Fold the Strip in half and glue one of the sides in the neck of the snowman, will be his scarf.
    To make the eyes, cut other two smaller black and two white circles. Paste one above the other as in the model.
    Get a churro with a piece of Orange Pinocchio paper and paste it in the face. For the mouth get small balls of color and stick them with a big smile on the face of the doll.
    To make the arms using pipe cleaners, cut and paste them behind the plate.

    In this unit we are going to teach different body parts. Children learn the different parts of their bodies. We are going to offer them different activities.

    • Music activity. With this song, children learn the parts of their bodies. We are going to sing this song and dance everybody.

    COLOURS AND SHAPES


    COLORS AND SHAPES


    In this didactic unit we are going to work with different colors and shapes. 


    1. We are going to make a poster so kids can learn different colours and shapes. On the mural the kids will paste pieces of different colors and shapes.

    HALLOWEEN

    HALLOWEEN

    On Halloween the children and young people dress up for the occasion and walk through the streets asking for candy from door to door.






    In our nursery we will create a unit teaching based on Halloween and autumn. We are going to work all October based on this timetable.

    This is our timetable and we are going to relate our activities with Halloween and autumn.




    Painting activities: On Mondays, we will give the children coloring pages. We are going to offer all kinds of paintings.

    Story activities: We will usually tell a story every day of the week. This week, the stories will be related to Halloween and autumn. In total, we are going to tell them 2 stories.

    FIRST STORY

    HALLOWEEN NIGHT

    Comeone comeone! I summon you all!
    In this magical night of windy fall!
    Little monsters, witches, hollow ghosts and freaky freaks!
    Come out! don´t hide, wake up from your sleep!
    Our time has come to rule the world! … well at least for one night, but one night
    is enough to run wild and free gathering candy, and playing pranks and tricks.
    Because is halloween night! The best one of the year.
    Who needs christmas or easter! If we can be any fantastic or creepy creature
    we want to be!

    Comeone comeone! I summon you all!
    From all dark corners of the world.
    Little monsters, witches, hollow ghosts  and freaky freaks, to unleash our powers
    and going door to door asking for trick or treat.
    Is halloween night! There´s no time to sleep!
    The full moon is howling, the wind is calling, and darkness is falling at our feet.
    So lets feast little freaks!

    Because when dawn strikes there won´t be more time to dress up and be
    freaky, silly or totally free.
    There won´t be more trick or treat.
     Is halloween night my dears!
    Lets scream and scare.
    Lets be wicked, noughty, restless and free.
    Because there´s no other night like the all hollow´s eve.

    SECOND STORY:

    HANSEL AND GRETEL

    A poor woodcutter and his wife had two children named Hansel and Gretel. Soon their father remarried but their stepmother was very cruel. 
    One day, she took the children deep into the forest and left them there. Clever Hansel had some breadcrumbs in his pocket and had dropped them on the way so that they could find their way back home. Alas! The birds ate all the crumbs and they couldn’t find the path that led back home.
    Hansel and Gretel went deeper and deeper into the forest. Finally, after walking for a long time, they saw a cottage made of chocolate, candies, and cake. 
    “Look, Hansel! A chocolate brick!” shouted
    Gretel in delight and both ate it hungrily.
    Now, a wicked witch lived there. When she saw Hansel and Gretel, she wanted to eat them. She grabbed the chil­dren and locked them in a cage. The witch decided to make a soup out of Hansel and eat him first. She began boiling a huge pot of water for the soup. Just then, Gretel crept out of her cage. She gave the wicked witch a mighty push from behind and the witch fell into the boiling water. She howled in pain and died instantly. 
    Hansel and Gretel found treasure lying around the cottage. They carried it home with them. Their father wel­comed them back with tears of joy. They never went hungry again!

    PUMPKIN

    Pumpkin pumpkin on the ground

    Arts and craft activities: On the first Tuesday of October, We are going to paint the face pumpkin-shaped at children.

    On the next week, kids are going to do pumpkins with plasticine.

    The third activity is that kids will paint their hands with black paint and they are going to put the hand on top of the paper. Then they  are going to paint the paper to the left and then turn to the right.

    The last activity consists on doing a bat with carton. We will need the toilet paper tube, black construction paper, paint and glue.
