NUMBERS

In this didactic unit, we will learn the numbers from 0 to 9. We thought that it is important to teach numbers from the very beginning.

In this part we are going to do different activities consisting on singing, crafts activities, dancing and painting.

• Music activity. We are going to sing and dance with a song.

• Painting activities. In this part we are going to give them coloring pages and with all kinds of colors they will paint. The drawings are going to be very easy and simple to paint.

• Crafts activities. In this part we are going to decorate a classroom with numbers theme and do diferent crafts activities.

One hundred feet of numbers

Materials:

- Cardboard colors

- Scissors

- Glue,

- Velcro

- Marker pen

How to make it:

To start, cut the cardboards of different circle colors. Then, on teach circle we will write a number from 0 to 9.

Finally, we will use some velcro to stick the circle to the wall. This way, children may place them on the wall.

(Must not forget that the one hundred feet you can add details, for example, eyes, antennae, feet, head...)

Numbers bowling

Materials:

- Toilet paper tube

- Tempera colors 

- A ball of paper

How to make it:

To start let's paint the toilet paper tubes with tempera paints. 

Each number will be made.

The purpose of this game is that children say the number that have been thrown to the ground. 

This game is like bowling.

Different crafts can be made according to the age of the child. Look at these pictures and get an idea.

Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is an annual holiday celebrated on February 14.

Materials:

- Plastic dish

- Pink and red tempera colors

- Scissors

How to make it:

To start, we will paint the plastic dish. Then, cut some circles depending on their head size. And remove the spare parts leaving the band.

This craft can be made with cardboard.

Rain of hearts

Materials:

- White cardboard hearts

- Colors

- Red ties

How to make it:

To start we will take the cards cut in the shape of hearts and will give the children to paint. 

They can be painted with your hands.

Finally, we are going to join or bind hearts and ties and hang them from the roof.

• Mural activity. In this activity we are going  to use color cardboards.

Let's give them forms of hearts (with the size that children want) and finally, we will make a mural among the children in the class.

- Cartoon box

- Cardboard

- Tempera colors

How to make it:

To start, we'll take a big cardboard box. 

With the help of the scissors we will cut a car shape. Then, we will glue plastic dishes pretending they are wheels.

Later, we are going to paint the car details with the help of tempera paints.

With this craft children can play and make races between them.

Cars

Materials:

- Toilet paper tube
- Tempera colors
- Black and white cardboard
- Scissors
- Glue

How to make it:

To start, cut black and white cardboard in the form of circle, to make the wheels of the car.

Then, take the toilet paper tube and we are going to cut a square shaped seat.

Then we are going to paint the car with the color that we want and we are going to add the wheels. 

Finally, we will add some details. (Steering wheel, number, car registration...)

FRUITS

Fruits contain many nutritional properties (vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc.) that help to maintain and take care of our health. It is one of the first solid foods given to babies and their daily intake is essential for their growth.

In this part we are going to do different activities and they consist on singing, crafts activities, dancing and painting.

So the children can learn the fruits we'll show them images of fruits. The fruit is important, that is why, in this didactic unit we will work on fruits.

• Crafts activities. In this part we are going to decorate the classroom with fruit ornaments and do different craft activities.

How to make it:

To start, we'll take the plastic plate and paint it according to the fruit you are going to do. And depending on the fruit, we are going to cut it or not.

Finally, you can add details.

ORANGE BOAT

Materials:

- Oranges

- cardboard

- Small sticks

- Tempera colors

How to make it:

To start we are going to peel the orange or tangerine. 

We will cut the orange or tangerine into four pieces. 

To make it look like a boat or sailboat we will try make the shape of it.

Then take the cardboard and cut a triangle.

Finally, paint it using different colors and stick it to the small stick.
